Janina and Lee's Wedding at Turkey Mill

I have to confess that when I first heard the name Turkey Mill and was told it was on an old industrial estate in Maidstone I was a little bemused to put it mildly. Visions of a tatty, sprawling, Bernard Matthews style farm complex and lots of turkey gobbling noises sprang to mind (be honest, unless you've been there you're probably thinking along the same lines). I could not have been more wrong, Turkey Mill is one of the most beautiful venues I've come across. You don't get to see the industrial estate, which is actually a small and very pretty business park with several old Victorian buildings and the wedding venue is beautufully done with landscaped grounds, a lake, a river with a waterfall, it's just amazing!

After getting ready at the Great Danes Hotel (we're not deliberately doing an animal theme here, honest) the wedding ceremony took place in the Garden Room followed by drinks in the garden. While the guests relaxed Janina, Lee and I accompanied by their videographer went for a wander around the grounds with photographs by the lake, the bridge over the waterfall and the gazebo, which can also be used for wedding ceremonies weather permitting.
