Hayley and Kris's Wedding at the York House Hotel, Eastbourne

Another christmas wedding, this time at the York House Hotel on Eastbourne seafront. The hotel had recently been refurbished and very nice it looked too. Hayley got ready in one of the rooms assisted by her bridesmaids, while I took her dress, tiara and shoes for a trip around the hotel to photograph them using all the new fittings as backdrops.

The wedding ceremony takes place in a room at the western end of the hotel and this had been decorated with a very festive holly trellis arch for Hayley and Kris to get married under. We then had a drinks reception in the bar and some nice relaxed portraits in the bar while the restaurant we turned around for the wedding breakfast. It would have been nice to have done photographs outside by the pier but the weather really wasn't playing ball with is this time, but it was December so it's to be expected.

We managed to get outside a little bit in the evening as it had cleared up around sunset, so we some nice looking images with Eastbourne seafront and pier in the background then some group shots in the lounge. After the first dance Hayley and Kris got changed into big wooly, raindeer festooned Christmas jumpers for the rest of the evening, which gave everyone a good laugh and looked really rather fetching.

The York House Hotel is a lovely and very well managed wedding venue, although you should note that in the summer parking anywhere around there can be very problematic so it's best to get everyone in early and have your ceremony there.
